The most active corn contract for December delivery fell 1.5 cents, or 0.42 percent, to 3.525 dollars per bushel. December wheat delivery slid 6.5 cents, or 1.41 percent, to 4.55 dollars per bushel. November soybeans went down 6 cents, or 0.62 percent, to 9.595 dollars per bushel.
Traders saw a dull and lower session on Thursday. Not only because it was toward the end of this month and quarter, but also one day before the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) releases its Quarterly Grain Stocks Report and many anticipate a bearish one.
The futures of corn and wheat went down 1.5 to 6.5 cents as the latest export sales were near to below expectations. Profit-taking also played a role in the price decline of wheat.

Firebomb attacks targeted the Hong Kong home and office of media tycoon and founder of Next Media Jimmy Lai early on Monday. There were no injuries.
At about 1 am Monday, a handmade firebomb was thrown at the gate of Lai's house. A security guard immediately put out the fire with an extinguisher and called the police.
In the meantime, the Next Media building was attacked by two firebombs thrown at two building entrances.
Video from the building's security cameras show a seven-seat private car stopping at the entrance of the building and a man sitting in the front throwing the first firebomb. He threw the second after the car drove to the other entrance. No one was injured, local media reported.
Ip Yut-kin, director of Next Media Limited, condemned the violent attack as "ridiculous" and "horrible" and said the building will increase security. He also suspected that the attack is related to the media outlets' political views.
Next Media, well known for its controversial pan-democratic views and criticism of both the regional and central governments, was attacked several times after Occupy protests began last year.
Around 1,500 Hong Kong residents demonstrated outside the headquarters of Next Media in October 2014, accusing Lai of instigating and funding the Occupy Central movement, reported the website of the Hong Kong-based Ta Kung Pao newspaper.
Hong Kong's anti-corruption watchdog raided Lai's home in August 2014.

Local legislator Leung Che-cheung said that any violent behavior should be condemned and people should seek to express their views through peaceful and lawful means. He also condemned the attack as damaging social cohesion.
